Google Cloud Platform
Although we use the Google Cloud Platform, this does not mean that we have received the same security certifications.
At the moment we are not even HIPAA compliant. For more information, see the Google security white paper.
Google Cloud Platform – GCP
Although we use the Cloud Platform, this does not mean that we have received the same security certifications. At the moment we are not even HIPAA compliant. For more information, see the Google security white paper. Most companies use Linux containers (LXC) and LXD to orchestrate them on Google’s cloud platform. In this way, we can completely isolate not only all accounts but every single WordPress site. This is a much safer method than other competitors and helps ensure secure WordPress hosting around the clock.
For more information on how LXD works, consult Stéphane Graber’s article on LXD 2.0.
Commitment to further expansion
Google has continued to rapidly expand its infrastructure for the Google cloud platform. Here is an updated list of all GCP regions:
- Jakarta, Indonesia
- Warsaw, Poland
Available now: all 20 of these positions are available to customers when they choose where to strategically place their WordPress site.
Google also announced that more locations will be announced in 2019. Onlive Server recognizes Google’s commitment to global expansion by reducing latency across the board and ensuring faster load times.
Our goal remains the same: we want to create the most open cloud for all companies and simplify the creation and execution of exceptional software. – Brian Stevens, vice president of Google Cloud
Redundant backups
Developed for a duration of 99.99%, Google Cloud Storage has four types of storage: Cold Line Storage, Near The Line, Regional Storage, and Multi regional Storage. Redundantly stores data with automatic checksum to ensure data integrity. The advantage of multi regional storage is that it is also geo-redundant, which means that cloud storage stores data in at least two regions within multi regional memory.
